This Privacy Policy explains how Inner City Lutheran Congregation (“ICLC,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the ICLC mobile app or this website (together, the “Service”).
Information We Collect
When you register as a member, we collect:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- A profile photo, if you choose to upload one
- Membership details such as member number, membership date, baptism date, and confirmation date, where applicable
- Membership fee payment records
- Event RSVPs
- A device push notification token, so we can send you notifications
If you sign in with a password, we store a securely hashed version of it. We never store your password in plain text.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your membership profile
- To let other members see your name, photo, and verified status in the member directory
- To send you church announcements, event updates, and push notifications
- To record and track membership fee payments
- To operate, secure, and improve the Service
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
- A cloud database provider, to store member and church data
- A cloud storage provider, to store uploaded profile photos
- An email delivery service, to send sign-in codes and notifications
- A push notification service, to deliver app notifications
- An error monitoring service, to help us find and fix bugs
These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Data Retention and Deletion
If a church administrator removes your membership, your account is deactivated and hidden from the member directory. Your data may be retained for church record-keeping (such as historical payment records) unless you request full deletion. To request that your personal data be permanently deleted, contact us using the details below.
Your Choices
- You can edit your name, phone number, and photo at any time from within the app
- You can sign out of the app at any time
- You can request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your data by contacting us
Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
